Discipline
Lately, our little Jeremiah has been trying to get away with certain behaviors. The cool thing is that every time Jake and I tell Jeremiah no he runs to us crying. He runs to us and then he wants to hug us. He is just so sweet. It makes you feel bad for discipling him but it is something that needs to be done. I am so blessed to have such a sweet little boy who does not like to disappoint his parents!

Jeremiah's First Birthday Party!
Here are some pictures from Jeremiah's first birthday! I will have to say that Jake and I were both surprised at how much he enjoyed opening his presents. He would pull tissue paper out and everything! It was very exciting to watch! He also enjoyed his cake very much! We ventured out to make his baby einstein caterpillar pinata and it turned out pretty good! We liked it anyway! The bounce around was fun as well. Although, Jeremiah did not really care for it! All in all it was a great first birthday party and we were SO grateful for all the friends and family who joined us! We love you all very much!
Happy 1st Birthday Jeremiah!
Today is Jeremiah's first birthday! I can't believe that one year has already gone by. Everyday watching him do new things, say new things, and grow up has been absolutely amazing! I am continually amazed at him! I love him so much! He is my little buddy! The cutest, most precious little boy in the world! Everyday just gets better and better! I love you Jeremiah! Happy Birthday!

Hallelujah Harvest
Last Friday we had a really fun Hallelujah harvest at our awesome church! We had a trunk or treat for the kids, games, costume contest, and talent show! It was lots of fun! Last minute Jake and I decided to do a geek squad theme for our trunk and costumes since we had most of the props for it! Amazingly enough our trunk won the best trunk! Jake, won the best male costume which was hilarious! He was way to good of a geek! Our little buddy Jeremiah was a little skunk! He was so cute! It was a very fun time!

Pumpkins
This past weekend Jake, Jeremiah and myself went to a pumpkin patch with our church group! We were able to go to their petting zoo, walk through their corn maze,go on a hayride and we also were able to pick out three free pumpkins!
Then on Sunday we went to get a few big pumpkins and carved them for fun! We wanted to see how Jeremiah would react to sticking his hand in some slimy goo! But he had absolutely no reaction! So our idea did not work out to good! He then became bored watching mom and dad carve their pumpkins so he decided to push the wagon around the yard and play with anything he could find! It was a fun-filled family weekend!

First Steps
Jeremiah took about four steps at daycare last Tuesday! I am sad I missed it but so happy that he walked! Since then he has become quite confident in his walking abilities! He stands up takes a step or two and decides to turn all the way around or so he thinks he can! It is so fun seeing him do new things!
We almost bought him one of those push toys a little bit ago so he could walk around with it. Well, the other night I caught him pushing around a laundry basket all over the house! And to think we almost spent money on a push toy! Things around the house are so much better! I will post pictures later of the buddy!

Fun Night
We recently got a new target in our area!!! Actually it is the closest one to us about 25 minutes away. So we decided that tonight we would go check it out. Oh boy was it packed. Everybody was shopping at target! After checking target out we went to get some dinner and then Starbucks for a nice pumpkin spice latte! What a great night with the family!
Fall Time
I love to do things in the fall. I like to go to the pumpkin patch, apple picking, baking goodies, cuddling up with the family, wearing warmer clothes, and lots more. What is your favorite thing to do in the fall?

Tag: I'm it
Jake tagged me awhile back and I am just now doing this so....
Here are the rules that he posted on his blog.
-Post these rules on your blog
-Write 6 random things about yourself.
-Tag 6 people at the end of your post
-If you were tagged, DO IT and pass on the tag.
1.Within the last few months my desire for latte's has become great.
2. I love October, November, December. I love cuddling, dressing in warm clothes, apple orchards, apple cider, fires, hay rides, pumpkins, etc.
3. When I was young I would go into our playroom and make a pulpit. I would then pretend that I was standing in front of a congregation and "talk" to them. The funny thing is we were Catholic then.
4. I desire for our family to be really active. I want us to play sports together often and hang out together lots. Things like: go for a walk, go running, play soccer, volleyball, basketball, golf, etc.
5. I love having deep conversations especially with Jake!
6. I love for our house to be nice and clean if there are times when things are out of order or lying around it drives me nuts.
Now I tag Mona, my dad, Lisa, Shaynah, Kimmy D., and Jamie. If you don't have a blog just leave your 6 randoms in this comment section!

Mornings at the Schlegel's
Every weekday morning Jake and I wake up at 5am! We make latte's and then sit down together. We each get in the word for ourselves and then we speak scriptures over our family and our situations such as finances, health, the plan of God, etc. We then pray together! I love mornings at our house! I am so thankful for such a devoted husband who will get up at 5 am with me and spend time with God! Seriously, this is making a HUGE difference in our lives! I LOVE it! Speaking the word is so powerful!
Another little tid bit is the other night I put on a Hillsong DVD while I was cleaning the house and Jeremiah was playing. After a I finished cleaning Jeremiah and I sat together and were singing the songs and worshiping God. Jeremiah has learned how to raise his hands and as we were worshipping God and watching the DVD Jeremiah was bobbing up and down and raising his hands! It made me realize what an influence we have on our children! It is amazing! I am so thankful to have God in our lives!

Growing Up!
Jeremiah has out grown his infant car seat. So this past weekend Jake and I decided it was time to move him up to the big boy seat! Oh my did he ever love it! I think he was just happy to finally be facing forward! As you can see, he was already getting all snuggled into it by reading a book. He also wanted to give you a little wave as he showed what a big boy he is becoming!

Thank you!
Today has been an incredible day! Jake, got up super early this morning with me. 5 AM to be exact and he went and got some breakfast! Then he made me some nummy coffee! He also made me cupcakes to give to my class! If that all was not enough he sent flowers to my work! They were so gorgeous! Tonight, we are going out to eat and then coming home to hang out! Jake has truly made my birthday special! I have the BEST husband in the entire world! I love you Jake!
I am also SUPER thankful for everyone who wished me a happy birthday! That means a lot! You are all so special to me! Thank you everyone again!

Go Kids Pre-K Classroom!
These pictures were taken right before we opened on August 18th. I am just now getting these up because we have been so busy. This week was our first week official week! It was amazing! I love teaching! I love being led by God when I teach and in the things I do! I love knowing that he has anointed me to teach at a level the world does not understand! My class is awesome! I could not have asked for better kids! It is amazing how much they learn. In just the first week I can see improvements in them! I am looking forward to seeing them learn even more! I desire to be the best teacher I can possibly be for God's glory!

Fun Filled Saturday
Jake had a softball tournament all day today. So Jeremiah came out to support him! While Jake was playing in the field. Jeremiah was playing in the dirt. It is funny how you can have tons of toys for him to play with and he chooses the dirt.
After Jake's tournament was over we had about an hour until we were to head up to Fayetteville for the Naturals game. It rained on the way there, then stopped, and then it rained again. Oh well, it was fun!
At the game they gave away free whiffle ball sets to the first so many people to arrive at the game. So, today Jeremiah wanted to show me that he could play with his new ball!

God's Faithfulness and Go Kids
God has really been dealing with us about going to bible school full time for the two year program. We were wondering how we were going to do that with Jeremiah. We put it into God's hands and told him that he wants us to go so he has to provide a way for Jeremiah to be watched. Sure enough we found the right people that wanted to watch Jeremiah for us! God is so good!
Also, Go Kids Academy is starting next Monday so tomorrow we will be getting everything ready! This is so exciting! I will be posting pictures and updates on that this week! It is just so amazing how when you step into what God wants you to do right now things become so different. My life is completely changed. My fire for God has grown even more and I just want him to use me for whatever he wants to! God is just so amazing and I am so thankful for him.
If God is telling you to do something then do it because it will change you forever!

Last Night with the Boys!
Yesterday morning we started out with some yummy pancakes!
For the last night, we rented Snow Buddies and made homemade pizza! The only thing is that in the middle of the movie the power went out. So we were without power for about an hour and a half. After the power came on we watched about twenty minutes of the movie and then Nate and Evan came to pick up the boys! They were so excited to see them! Now this morning we are sitting here and it is kinda weird not having them around. We had a fun week with them!

4th Night with the Boys!
Yesterday, we had Hannah and Jessica over for some fun swim time.
Then, last night we took a little road trip to Fayetteville to return a bed spread we had boughten at bed, bath and beyond. After returning the bedspread we took the kids to Coldstone for some ice cream. We thought this would be a fun idea but then it happened. Matthew changed his mind of what he wanted after we had already ordered it and paid. So we didn't end up eating at Coldstone. Instead we enjoyed our wonderful ice cream in the car. After some convincing Matthew finally decided to eat his ice cream! Samuel was so content and happy with his own strawberry ice cream!
Then, Jeremiah decided he was extremely tired so he wanted to cry really loudly for a long time or so it seemed. Then Samuel started crying and then Matthew started crying because he had gotten some hand sanitizer in his mouth. So we had all three kids in there car seats crying in the back seat of the car for some of the ride home. Oh man, Jake and I just had to laugh. (Notice Samuel is smiling! He saw that I was taking a picture so he started to smile. I guess he must have not been that sad!)

3rd Night with the Boys!
Last night, we went to church, came home, and got the boy's ready for bed. We put Jeremiah and Samuel down and then let Matthew stay up with us for a little bit. He asked if he could watch a show and I said, "well there is nothing good on except cooking." He said, " ok, that's ok." So Matthew, Jake, and I watched the food network channel for awhile. After the show was over we told Matthew it was time for bed. He requested to lay on the couch and because he was missing mom and dad we honored that request. It wasn't about two minutes since he was laying on the couch and he was out. It was so sweet to see him all cuddled up on the couch!
Check back later to see what fun we have in store for tonight!

2nd Night with the Boys!
So, today we did not end up going to the library. I thought it may be a little tough with two babies. Instead we went swimming! Matthew sure loves going under water and Samuel likes to lounge around in his baby floaty.
As soon as Jake got home we got the idea to make a fun night by letting Matthew chose where he wanted to go for dinner which was of course McDonald's. I guess Jeremiah must have been the only one who was excited to go!
We then went to Walmart to stock up on some prizes for the night that was ahead of us. When we got home we decided to send Matthew on a treasure hunt. Jake made this awesome map:
which sent him around the house finding his "treasure." Below is Matthew with all of the treasure that he found.
After the treasure hunt was over we had some prizes left over so we played bible trivia to help get rid of the left over prizes. It was a fun night!
I must say though the funnest part of the night was watching Jake and Matthew play with this toy called, "flarp" (a putty looking substance that you push into a cup to make toot noises). Oh my goodness they were laughing so hard trying to make the best tooting noises. Then they got out the other toy they had bought which were giant sticky hands. They choose to start smacking each other with them. I tell you what, they are true boys and I absolutely loved watching them laugh uncontrollably at each other!

The First Night with the Boys!
Tonight as I said before was Jake's softball game. While Matthew sat so nicely watching the game, Samuel played with Ethan and Jeremiah sat on his aunt Cortney's lap! When we got home we immediately threw all three boys in the bathtub to get them ready for bed and wash all the dirt off from playing at the ball field. After the bath the boys had a little fun as you can see from the pictures below...
Jeremiah eating the water bottle after getting out of the bathtub!
Samuel and Jeremiah having their snack before bed!
All three sweet boys loving on each other just like they always do!
Too bad you weren't here to see us trying to make them pose for this one! With kids you only have 2 seconds to get them together and snap the picture if you don't take the picture in that time frame it is to late. Just an FYI!
Check back tomorrow to see what fun we have planned!

Big Week
This week is a very busy week for us. We are watching our nephews as Jake said on his blog jacobandrew.blogspot.com. We hope to do something fun with Matthew and Samuel every day. Tonight, we are going to Jake's softball game. I am thinking about bringing the boys to the library tomorrow to pick out a few books. We will see what else we can come up with that will be fun. The daycare is also opening in just less than three weeks! Very exciting but lots to do!! This week will be a fun, productive week!

Birdie
Jeremiah is getting more of his hair in everyday! The back of it tends to stick straight up. This picture is the very reason we call him birdie because his hair is laid out like a little birdie! What a lil cutie pie! The green thing in his mouth is a nummy green bean from Nate and Evan's beautiful garden!

Happy Birthday Jakey!
Today is my Jake's 24th birthday! He is the best husband and best father that anyone could ever ask for! I love him so much and all of the the memories we have created and will create. Jake, thank you for all that you do! I am excited to celebrate your birthday with you!
I remember last year we went golfing twice for his birthday and at the second course it started to down poor but we stuck it out and finished golfing. We also went through massive puddles with the golf cart! This past year has been incredible! I look forward to spending many more birthdays with you!

Our Trip to MN
Well, we got back from MN on Monday morning at about 1:30am. It was a long haul with a baby who is getting two teeth at the same time. We had a great time in Minnesota. Jeremiah and I visited lots of family and friends, did some shopping, and went to the Como zoo. Jake went fishing with his buddies as you can see on his blog jacobandrew.blogspot.com. It was nice to see all of our family and friends but we did miss home and it is nice to be back!
