Jeremiah's First Birthday Party!

Here are some pictures from Jeremiah's first birthday! I will have to say that Jake and I were both surprised at how much he enjoyed opening his presents. He would pull tissue paper out and everything! It was very exciting to watch! He also enjoyed his cake very much! We ventured out to make his baby einstein caterpillar pinata and it turned out pretty good! We liked it anyway! The bounce around was fun as well. Although, Jeremiah did not really care for it! All in all it was a great first birthday party and we were SO grateful for all the friends and family who joined us! We love you all very much!

Hallelujah Harvest

Last Friday we had a really fun Hallelujah harvest at our awesome church! We had a trunk or treat for the kids, games, costume contest, and talent show! It was lots of fun! Last minute Jake and I decided to do a geek squad theme for our trunk and costumes since we had most of the props for it! Amazingly enough our trunk won the best trunk! Jake, won the best male costume which was hilarious! He was way to good of a geek! Our little buddy Jeremiah was a little skunk! He was so cute! It was a very fun time!

Pumpkins

This past weekend Jake, Jeremiah and myself went to a pumpkin patch with our church group! We were able to go to their petting zoo, walk through their corn maze,go on a hayride and we also were able to pick out three free pumpkins!
Then on Sunday we went to get a few big pumpkins and carved them for fun! We wanted to see how Jeremiah would react to sticking his hand in some slimy goo! But he had absolutely no reaction! So our idea did not work out to good! He then became bored watching mom and dad carve their pumpkins so he decided to push the wagon around the yard and play with anything he could find! It was a fun-filled family weekend!

First Steps

Jeremiah took about four steps at daycare last Tuesday! I am sad I missed it but so happy that he walked! Since then he has become quite confident in his walking abilities! He stands up takes a step or two and decides to turn all the way around or so he thinks he can! It is so fun seeing him do new things!
We almost bought him one of those push toys a little bit ago so he could walk around with it. Well, the other night I caught him pushing around a laundry basket all over the house! And to think we almost spent money on a push toy! Things around the house are so much better! I will post pictures later of the buddy!

Fun Night

We recently got a new target in our area!!! Actually it is the closest one to us about 25 minutes away. So we decided that tonight we would go check it out. Oh boy was it packed. Everybody was shopping at target! After checking target out we went to get some dinner and then Starbucks for a nice pumpkin spice latte! What a great night with the family!

Fall Time

I love to do things in the fall. I like to go to the pumpkin patch, apple picking, baking goodies, cuddling up with the family, wearing warmer clothes, and lots more. What is your favorite thing to do in the fall?

Tag: I'm it

Jake tagged me awhile back and I am just now doing this so....
Here are the rules that he posted on his blog.
-Post these rules on your blog
-Write 6 random things about yourself.
-Tag 6 people at the end of your post
-If you were tagged, DO IT and pass on the tag.

1.Within the last few months my desire for latte's has become great.

2. I love October, November, December. I love cuddling, dressing in warm clothes, apple orchards, apple cider, fires, hay rides, pumpkins, etc.

3. When I was young I would go into our playroom and make a pulpit. I would then pretend that I was standing in front of a congregation and "talk" to them. The funny thing is we were Catholic then.

4. I desire for our family to be really active. I want us to play sports together often and hang out together lots. Things like: go for a walk, go running, play soccer, volleyball, basketball, golf, etc.

5. I love having deep conversations especially with Jake!

6. I love for our house to be nice and clean if there are times when things are out of order or lying around it drives me nuts.

Now I tag Mona, my dad, Lisa, Shaynah, Kimmy D., and Jamie. If you don't have a blog just leave your 6 randoms in this comment section!

Mornings at the Schlegel's

Every weekday morning Jake and I wake up at 5am! We make latte's and then sit down together. We each get in the word for ourselves and then we speak scriptures over our family and our situations such as finances, health, the plan of God, etc. We then pray together! I love mornings at our house! I am so thankful for such a devoted husband who will get up at 5 am with me and spend time with God! Seriously, this is making a HUGE difference in our lives! I LOVE it! Speaking the word is so powerful!
Another little tid bit is the other night I put on a Hillsong DVD while I was cleaning the house and Jeremiah was playing. After a I finished cleaning Jeremiah and I sat together and were singing the songs and worshiping God. Jeremiah has learned how to raise his hands and as we were worshipping God and watching the DVD Jeremiah was bobbing up and down and raising his hands! It made me realize what an influence we have on our children! It is amazing! I am so thankful to have God in our lives!

Growing Up!

Jeremiah has out grown his infant car seat. So this past weekend Jake and I decided it was time to move him up to the big boy seat! Oh my did he ever love it! I think he was just happy to finally be facing forward! As you can see, he was already getting all snuggled into it by reading a book. He also wanted to give you a little wave as he showed what a big boy he is becoming!
