Baking Cookies

We were making sugar cookies for Easter last weekend and Matthew decided he wanted to consume lots of the dough! He also added his own little saying out of nowhere (refer to video)! What a little cutie he is.

Learning tools

Lately, Jeremiah gets read a book almost every night. He has become so interested in it. It seems as if he digests everything that is in each page, studying it intently. We have been reading him books like, " What Happens When I Talk to God" and "In Him Confessions." Also, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" as well as others. We like every parent I am sure, want him to be so intelligent. We are really working with him even though he is so young. We even watched a Baby Einstein sign language video with him and we did the signs to him. He just observed us. I love how children can take everything in and eventually they will do it as well. Watching Jeremiah has reminded me how important it is to live our lives out according to the word because everything we do will effect our children. Just like Jeremiah lies back and so eagerly watches our every move and listens to us reminds me of how we need to be with God. We need to eagerly heed his word and listen to what he has to say to us. Having a child makes me realize what child like faith is really about. They trust you with everything.

Praise the Lord

Tonight, I finished my last and final test for school! I am officially done! I do not have to write any more papers or take any more tests! I can finally start concentrating on our church's daycare/preschool! I am so excited for it to start up! I want those little kids to know who God is and how to flow in his presence. I want to teach them how to be led by the Spirit. I of course, also want them to have the top educational experience they can possibly have. In honor of this momentous occasion my loving husband took Jeremiah and I out for a little ice cream treat! Thank you so much honey! I want to give God all the glory for being finished with my bachelor's degree. I also want to thank Jakey for allowing me time to work on all my school work for the past two years that we have been married. Praise the Lord! I am excited to see what God has in store!

Mid Morning Snack

This morning I was giving a mid morning snack to Matthew. Jeremiah was sitting next to him and all of a sudden Matthew said, "Jeremiah has big cheeks!" A few minutes later I said, "Matthew, what did you say about Jeremiah's cheeks?" He replied, "chunky, chunky!" Little kids sure are honest! Jeremiah does have some chunky cheeks!

Beautiful Weather

Jeremiah woke up from his nap today and was kinda whinny. Since it was a beautiful day outside I decided to bring Jeremiah for a short walk to our mailbox. The second we stepped outside the door he stopped crying. It was amazing. Then, when we came back inside he started crying again. I brought him out to the backyard and once again he stopped crying. I guess my little buddy is an outdoors man! That will be so nice for this summer when we are gardening and wanting to play outside!

The Big Adventure

Today, Jake and I took an adventure with Matthew, Samuel, and Jeremiah! We decided to take them to the mall because I needed to do something for school there. So, we first took the boys to the candy store! Matthew was in candy heaven! He was amazed at all of his choices. Jake's blog tells the story much better. After that was when the big adventure began. We took all three boys to get there pictures taken. They were doing so good for the first few but then the two youngens decided they did not want to take pictures anymore. Jeremiah decided to let out a big explosion in his pants and Samuel was getting pretty tired. Matthew of course was amazing and smiled so nicely at every picture! It was sure an adventure but it was worth it! Now we have cute pictures of the cousins together!

Hungry

Lately, God has been really dealing with me about going to prayer at church. I have been putting it off because I have Jeremiah and I didn't want my focus to be on him. I have decided that it is good for Jeremiah to be exposed to prayer and I am just going to bring him to prayer. My absolute two most favorite things to do are to worship and pray. I love to pop in a Hillsong DVD or whatever and just worship. I love to pray and that is one of my passions and I need to get more on top of that. I am so excited for this new journey and it is so exciting to me that Jake and I get to raise our son in a godly environment, leading by example. Isn't that amazing how much influence you can have on your child's life? You can chose whether they grow up in the things of God and that is exactly what Jeremiah will be growing up in. Train up your children in the way they shall go and when they are older they will not depart from it!!!

Jeremiah's Language

The little guy is really getting into gabbing mode! He giggled for the first time last night! And here he is afterwards... the little punkin'

Sleepy

While I was playing on the floor with my little nephews, Jeremiah was laying on the floor next to us. I looked over and found the buddy sleeping away. I guess he was pretty tired!

Talking Boy

Lately, Jeremiah has been really starting to talk to us. He has been saying full sentences in his own language! We love talking to him and seeing what he has to say. We love it when we ask him a question and he just goes on and on with his own little answer! What a little cutie he is!

Happy Valentine's Day

This year for Valentine's day Jake and I will be staying at home, making dinner and hanging out. Having a baby and no family around makes it a family Valentine's day rather than a couple's Valentine's day. We love our little buddy and we love being together and hanging out. What are your plans for Valentine's day?

Just like Dad

Whenever Jeremiah is about to cry he sticks out his lower lip. It is the cutest thing ever. He looks just like his daddy when he pouts! I love you Jake!

Walking in Victory

This past week my family and I have been fighting sickness. We had been listening to Kenneth Hagin's healing scriptures and standing on God's word for our healing. On Sunday we watched Gloria Copeland and she was talking about standing on God's word for whatever you are believing for and not giving up. If you don't quit you win (Pastor Kevin). Don't give up and you will walk in victory! We are walking in victory! I am excited to walk in more and more victory in many more areas in our life! Our family is receiving our healing right now!

I'm Ready

I am so ready to just finally do whatever it is God wants me to do. I don't want to be lukewarm in my faith. I want to pursue him wholeheartedly. I want to do anything and everything that God asks of me. I am ready to do it. I am ready to take it on. Yesterday, we had an incredible guest minister and she was talking about how in other places saying that you are a Christian is something that has real meaning. It means you are ready to give up your life, ready to get persecuted and arrested. Whatever it takes to take a stand for Jesus you are ready to do it. I then look at America and how so many times people just say they are a Christian. Do they really know what that means? Would they really be willing to give everything up to serve him? Would they be willing to die for him at anytime? All I know is I am willing and from now on I am going to take being a Christian seriously. We have so much freedom here. We can read our word freely, we can pray with others on the street. Others are not able to do that but they would love to freely do those things. So why is it then that we don't get in our word and study everyday or why are we not always willing to pray with others? It's time that we recognize the freedom we have and do something with it rather than just sit back. The guest minister said something that stuck with me. She said, "when you are obedient to God, you could be touching millions of people." Imagine that touching millions of people because we just took a step and obeyed what God told us to do. I don't know about you but I am so ready to take those steps and do what God tells me to do. I don't want to sit back, I want to be in on the action. I want God to use me.I want him to wake me up in the middle of the night to pray. I just want to be consumed by him. I am ready, are you?

Our two year anniversary is today! We were able to celebrate by eating at Olive Garden! These past two years have been full of adventure, joy and excitement! I am married to the best husband!
